Description
NAICS Code: 541990 NAICS Code: 541990 All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services with a size standard of $7.0 millions of dollars. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures toJohnson Controls, 7863 Palace Dr., Cincinnati, Ohio 45249 for Metasys temperature monitoring system's Preventative Maintenance (PM) agreement with a one-year base period plus two option years. Johnson Controls has exclusive copyrights, patents, and/or trade secret ownership; and, therefore, is the only vendor that can satisfy the requirement. In order to ensure correct facility temperature monitoring operation, the circumstance permitting is FAR 6.301-1 'only one source reasonably available'. The base period of performance is expected to be from June 16, 2010 through June 15, 2011. The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist; and, therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Consequently, any response failing to demonstrate the contractor's ability to provide the Metasys system's maintenance and instead choosing merely to submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may submit written qualification statements, fully explaining their capability, no later than 10 days after the date of this publication. Submit your response to the U.S. EPA, Attn: Barbara L. Mattison (MC E105-02), 109 T.W.
