- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter into a firm, fixed-price contract with American State Equipment, Inc. This contract is for inspection by a qualified Service Department of a Liebherr 1280 (300 Ton) and a Liebherr 885 (150 Ton) series Crane, work will be performed on derrick barges on the Mississippi River. American State Equipment, Inc is the local dealer for Liebherr cranes. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811310 which is Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance which has a small business size standard of $7.0 Million. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any small-business firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
