- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented withadditional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutesthe only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitationwill not be issued. Solicitation number N65236-10-R-0061 is issued as aRequest for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporatedprovisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular2005-26. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed-Price Commercialitem type contract in accordance with the procedures detailed in FAR 13.5. Thisacquisition is being provided under an unrestricted, sole source basis. Theapplicable NAICS code is 334515 with a size standard of 500 employees. Thisacquisition is for the sole source procurement of Bruel & Kjaer North AmericaInc's Vibration Test System LDS V-8-440-HBT-1220 Shaker/Slip TableCombination with LDS SPAK-V8 Amplifier (including all associated peripherals). The Vibration Test System is utilized to expose components, equipment, orsystems to environmental stresses associated with vibration and shock. TheVibration System utilizes environmental vibration and shock profiles togenerate laboratory controlled vibration and shock levels to which components,equipment, or systems are exposed to. This test system meets the requiredlow frequency vibration requirements of MIL-STD-810G. The low frequencyvibration requirements require the vibration test system to have adisplacement of > 2 inches peak-to-peak. The ability to meet the lowfrequency vibration requirements of MIL-STD-810G ensures tested equipmentwill meet operational requirements. SEE ATTACHMENT.
