- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTES. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE. The intent of this 'sources sought' notice is to identify potential U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) certified Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), 8(a) Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned and Small Business firms capable of providing the primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance, Small Business Size Standard, $7.0M for the following service: Preventative Maintenance and Repair Services for Galley Equipment located at U.S. Navy Bases Galleys in the San Diego, California area.THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. No telephone calls or emails will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation because THERE IS NO BID PACKAGE OR SOLICITATION AVAILABLE. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement, if any, that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. Interested firms may submit their interest and capability response to FISC San Diego, Contracting Dept./Code 220, Attn: G. Bell, 937 N. Harbor Drive San Diego, CA 92132-0060 or via email at: gregory.a.bell1@navy.mil no later than May 28, 2010. Reponses to this Sources Sought request should reference the Sources Sought number and shall include the following information in this format: 1. Company name, address, Point of Contact name, phone number, fax number and email address. 2. Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. 3. Business Size. 4. Capability statement displaying the contractor's ability to provide the minimum requirements of the galley equipment preventative maintenance and repair services at galleys in multiple locations in the San Diego, CA area. 5. Include any other supporting documentation. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise, experience and financial capability to compete for this acquisition. Submissions are not to exceed two (2) typewritten pages in no less than 12 pitch font. This 'sources sought' notice is for market research information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice. This notice is 'not' a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources. No solicitation document exists.
