- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the provision of one (1) Laboratory Technician and one (1) Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocation Nurse for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) located in Oakdale, Louisiana. It is anticipated that this RFQ will result in an award of a single or multiple contracts for the two services. The contract shall consist of a 12 month base year, and the possibility of four (4) 12 month option years. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. Award will be made to the responsible quoter or quoters who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The estimated number of sessions for each of these requirements is 1440 sessions for the base year and each of the option years. A session is defined as one hour in duration. The Contractor will ensure that the employee or candidate is certified as a Laboratory Technician and licensed to perform services in the state of Louisiana. Also, that the employee or candidate for the Licensed Practical/Vocation Nurse must have graduated from an accredited nursing school or program, and shall maintain a current license to practice in the state of Louisiana. All other qualifications and requirements will be detailed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be made available on or about June 1, 2010 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about June 21, 2010. The solicitation is set-aside for all small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 621399 with a size standard of $7.0 million. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated effective date of award is October 1, 2010.
