- Description The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for 3 each as per specifications: Pfeiffer Vacuum Pump Station or equivalent: Pfeiffer hiCube classic HiPace80 turbomolecular pump and MVP 040 diaphram backing pump or equivalent --- (must meet or exceed) 1. Duty Cycle The Station will be capable of running continuously for 12 montsh, with minumal maintenance required after the 12 months of operation. The sttion will be able to perate in a helium gas enviroment. The unit shall have a fan with sufficient air cooling to allow continuous operation. 2. Opeation Operation of the high vacuum turob pumping station shall be fully automatic with the starting and stoping of the unit by way of a master on/off switch. The unit shall require 115 VAC 60 Hz power. 3. Backing Pump The backing pump shall be capable of a minimum pump down time of 100 seconds from 1,000 mbar to 10 for a cacuum changer size of 10 liters The backing pump shall have a vibrations isolations from the support frame. The backing pum shall be a maximum length of 12.0 inches, width 11.4" and height 5.0:. 4. Turbo molecular Pump The tubo molecular pump shall be capable of a minimum of 65 liters/sec pumping speed. The tubo molecular pump should be capable of oeating deparately with its associated drive module. Section 508 compliant does not apply *** Award shall be made to the quoter whose quote offers the best value to the Government, technical capability, and price shall be considered. The Government will evaluate information based on the following evaluation criteria: 1) Technical Capability factor "Meeting or Exceeding the Requirement,"2) Price.
