Description
This is combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is 1583697 and solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-41. Delivery and acceptance will be at Bethesda, Maryland. The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) has a requirement for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Professional Service. The professional service has the following requirements: 1) Architecture and Design Review, 2) Physical Hardware and Environment Readiness, 3) Configure Virtual Infrastructure, 4) Configure EMC Clarion SAN, 5) Configure existing HP DL 580 servers, 6) Rebuild existing ESX hosts, 7) Restore existing VM guests, 8) Validate and certify VI, 9) vView Implementation, 10) Guest VDI OS template creation, 11) Thin client configuration, 12) vView configuration for VDI POC, 13) VDI POC testing and use case, 14) Design review and environment tuning, 15) VI and VDI Capacity Planning, 16) Knowledge transfer and environment documentation and 17) Travel for a least 5 days. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provisions at 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, is applicable. Specific evaluation criteria: (1) Ability to meet technical specifications and (2) Ability to deliver on time and within 50 days. Offers will also be evaluated on best value in relation to price. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Item, with its offer. Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The quotations are due May 27, 2010 3:00PM EST and will be submitted hard copy or electronically to Jasmine Snoddy, Contract Specialist, 31 Center Drive, Room 1B59, Bethesda, Maryland 20892
