- NGA Form 5212-6 Request for Visit Certification This announcement is not a request for proposal or quote, and no award will be made from this announcement. This announcement is a market research tool only and is being used to reach interested data storage vendors. 1. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Data Center Program Office (NGA/E) in conjunction with the NGA OCIO office, and NGA/AES, will be holding a Data Storage Summit on Thursday June 24th, 2010 at NGA's St. Louis, MO campus. This event will be located at 3200 South 2nd St., St. Louis, MO, 63118, in the Building 1 Conference Center, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm CST. Interested parties should report to the NGA Visitor Center no later than 12:30pm CST to allow sufficient time for inprocessing. 2. NGA technical experts will present a briefing that will outline NGA's future Data Center and Storage Strategies. A primary purpose of the Data Storage Summit is for NGA to solicit relevant information on commercially available leading storage technology vendor designs, solutions, and alternatives, in response to NGA's presentation. The briefing is expected to last approximately one hour, and it will be followed by a question and answer session. Approximately one hour will be allotted for the question and answer session. 3. NGA is interested in industry best practices pertaining to the engineering and implementation of large enterprise class storage environments. NGA is requesting information from industry leading technology vendors regarding how their products and solutions can best benefit NGA as it pertains to: • Data center consolidation to include power, space and cooling factors • Strategies for technology refresh and recapitalization • Emerging technologies and strategies • Techniques for information lifecycle management • Technology solutions to implement and manage such strategies and technologies 4. This is part of an on-going effort to educate and inform senior NGA decision makers on vendor offerings focused on evolving NGA needs. NGA is under no obligation to procure any products or services as a result of this sources sought notice; nor would participation be required to compete for future requirements NGA may have. 5. If you are interested and wish to attend the Data Storage Summit, please perform the following: • Provide NGA with the name of up to two company representatives. Visitors must be US born citizens. Only two visitors per company may attend. • Very clearly fill out, or have your Company Facility Security Officer (FSO) clearly fill out, the attached NGA Form 5212-6 - Request for Visit Certification, and fax to the attention of Mr. Scott Hardin at 314-676-3010 or scan and email to scott.j.hardin@nga.mil. Note that one form may be submitted that includes the information for two individuals. It is not necessary to submit a separate form for each individual.
