- Amendment #0001 The Federal Correctional Complex at Beaumont, Texas (FCC Beaumont) intends to make a single award for the acquisition of construction services of a licensed, bonded contractor to repair elevators located within FCC Beaumont which meet the requirements of solicitation IFBP05021000003. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238290. Services will be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution - Medium Security (FCIM) and the United States Penitentiary (USP). The contract type is a firm-fixed price, construction contract. The Government reserves the right to award without discussion and to award as a single award. The award will be made to the responsible company who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The contractor shall be responsible for the repair of three (3) elevators. Two (2) elevators are located at the FCIM and one (1) elevator is located at the USP. Work will include the removal, installation, commissioning and start-up of same. The contractor will be responsible for supplying all equipment, material, and labor to replace the elevator drive control unit of each elevator and insure the installed product meets current elevator codes. Services will include acceptance testing and startup. Contractor will verify all grounding, cables and buss assemblies, controls, instrumentation and key interlock systems. A functional test will be performed with the breaker in the cell and will include trip unit tests. Contractor will also charge the oil in the transformer fed by the switchboard with silicone transformer oil. At the conclusion of the project, each elevator is to be inspected by a State Inspector. This inspection is to be a full load test. All licenses, permits, etc. shall be the responsibility of the contractor. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 30, 2010 and will be solely distributed through this website (www.fedbizopp.gov). Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. This site provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be posted though this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information regarding this solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of offers is June 11, 2010. This procurement is unrestricted. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contract for which they are eligible. All responsible vendors may submit a quote which will be considered for award.
