Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the authority FAR 6.302-2 (a)(b)(2) Unusual and Compelling Urgency, to maintain program management services necessary to rapidly and securely recruit and deploy foreign language interpretation and translation services in support of the Department of Defense, United States Army, Coalition and Combatant Commands (USEUCOM, USCENTCOM, USSOUTHCOM, USNORTHCOM, USPACOM), attached forces, combined forces, and joint elements, and other US Government Agencies and entities as required. The action will be procured by the HQ USAINSCOM, Directorate of Contracting, ATTN: IAPC-DOC, 8825 Beulah Street, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5246. The Government intends to award a sole source contract (FAR Part 6.302-2(a)(b)(2)) for the above products and services to the firm of Mission Essential Personnel, LLC. Note: This firm is the current contractor performing this effort and the intent of the sole source is to allow continuous support during a CICA Stay. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-2(a)(b)(2), Unusual and Compelling Urgency. The period of performance will be for 45 days (approximately) of service beginning on 20 May 2010 and ending on 05 July 2010. The Government does not intend to issue a solicitation based off of this notice. Interested sources should provide a capabilities statement that will be used for market research in the future acquisition of this requirement. All responses received within 7 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Capabilities statements no more than 6 pages should be submitted to Kweilin Hollis, Contract Specialist, Kweilin.Hollis@us.army.mil.
