Description
Sources Sought/Request for Information - Bayou Meto Pump Station. This market survey is for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of all firms interested in participating in the competition to compete and perform a fixed price construction contract. The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Army Engineer District - Memphis is planning to solicit/award a contract to experienced source(s) capable of performing a wide range of construction projects. Contractors would be required to furnish all plant, labor, materials, and equipment to perform work under a construction contract. The work is located in Pulaski County, approximately 10 miles SE of Little Rock, AR near the AR River and consists of construction of a 1750 CFS self priming pumping station structure with a six-bay configuration utilizing conventional vertical steel pumps driven by horizontal soft-start induction motors and right angle gear reducers. This includes all the electrical and mechanical equipment along with the building features. Included in the work is earthwork consisting of approximately 600 feet of inlet channel excavation, temporary cofferdam construction, excavation of reservoir, construction of reservoir embankment and resevoir lining with off site impermeable clay, construction of access road, and all related appurtenances. Site dewatering will be required. This work will involve coordinating the design and construction (through Entergy) of the electrical utility substation and services to supply power for the pumping station. Work also includes the clearing and disposal of debris therefrom, furnishing and placing of filter material and riprap, turfing, and environmental protection. All interested, capable, qualified and responsive contractors are encouraged to reply to this sources sought synopsis. The Government is requesting interested contractors to furnish the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and e-mail address; (2) Type of Business (large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, etc.); (3) State your bonding capacity as of the date of your response. All responses will be reviewed for preliminary planning purposes in determining future acquisition strategy. (4) Provide no more than five (5) references, of the most recent and relevant contracts, performed within the last fifteen (15) years of work same/ similar in nature. Include name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address of references. Also provide a brief description of the work performed, contract number, total contract value, and period of performance. Submission of information should be limited to not more than five (5) pages. If your firm is a Small Business, provide affirmation that your firm can comply with the following minimum requirements: FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting, requires that a small business concern perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this requirement is 237110, Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction. The Small Business Size Standard for this requirement is $33.5 million. The estimated cost of this project is over $10.0 million.
