- Description
- This project consists of fabricating steel work barges. A work barge is used as a working platform to perform maintenance and inspections of lock and dam facilities. The dimensions of 6 of the vessels shall be 38 feet long by 14 feet wide by 3 feet deep. The stern of the vessel shall also include a transom for mounting two outboard motors to power the vessel. The dimensions of one barge shall be 16 feet long by 10 feet wide by 3 feet deep. The stern of this vessel shall also include a transom for mounting one outboard motor to power the vessel. The barges shall be well-balanced, water tight, and be suitable for use on the Illinois River.
