- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful offeror. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing an Invitation for Bids numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0364 on or about June 3, 2010, for the RECOVERY – Wilderness Gateway Bridge Maintenance, Clearwater National Forest. If the Invitation for Bid (IFB) is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective vendors should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after June 3, 2010 to obtain a copy of the Invitation for Bid (IFB). This requirement is being solicited as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) under FAR Part 14. Proposals or offers are due at July 6, 2010; 1:00 P.M. MOUNTAIN TIME. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror based upon price and other evaluation factors as stated in the solicitation (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) ALL OFFERS SHOULD BE MAILED TO: USDA/FOREST SERVICES ATTN: PHYLLIS R. COBURN-HARRIEL 740 SIMMS ST GOLDEN, CO 80401 REF SOL#: AG-82B1-S-10-0364 PROJECT DESCRIPTION. This work consists of removing existing bridge rail and curb, resealing bridge expansion joints, patching bridge deck, installing new T101 bridge rail, and installing new bridge approach rail. This work will also include all other labor, materials and supplies needed to complete the work as required by the contract, plans, and specifications. The magnitude of this project IAW FAR 36.204 (c) is between $100,000 and $250,000. There will not be a pre-proposal site visit held on this project. Projected start date is July 12, 2010 with completion not later than September 3, 2010 Performance and Payments will be required per the Miller Act and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. PROJECT LOCATION. The project site is located at milepost 122.63 on US Highway 12. From Orofino, Idaho, travel east on US Highway 12 to milepost 122.63. At mile post 122.63 turn south (right) at Wilderness Gateway Campground, travel approximately 0.1 miles to the project location. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http:www.ccr.gov or call 888-227-2423 or 269-961-5757 and shall complete the On-Line Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) http://orca.bpn.gov. All responsible sources may submit a response to this announcement which will be considered by this agency.
