Description
THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful offeror. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing an Invitation for Bids numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0366 on or about June 7, 2010, for the RECOVERY – Lower North Fork Bridge Repairs, Clearwater National Forest. If the Invitation for Bid (IFB) is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective vendors should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after June 7, 2010 to obtain a copy of the Invitation for Bid (IFB). This requirement is being solicited as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) under FAR Part 14. Proposals or offers are due at July 7, 2010;14:00 P.M. MT. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror based upon price and other evaluation factors as stated in the solicitation (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) ALL OFFERS SHOULD BE MAILED TO: USDA/FOREST SERVICES ATTN: PHYLLIS R. COBURN-HARRIEL 740 SIMMS ST GOLDEN, CO 80401 PROJECT DESCRIPTION. LOWER NORTH FORK BRIDGE REPAIRS - This contract will consists of bridge repairs on three bridges Flume Creek, Lolo Creek, and Skull Creek Bridges. Flume Bridge Repairs: This work will consists of removing and replacing timber abutment post, repairing stream bank erosion, removing and replacing timber bridge rail, and removing and replacing approach guardrail. This work will also include all other labor, materials and supplies needed to complete the work as required by the contract, plans, and specifications. Lolo Creek Bridge Repairs: This work will consists of removing existing timber bridge rail and curb and replacing with new timber curb, installing object markers, repairing a delaminated girder, and removing and replacing timber abutment post. This work will also include all other labor, materials and supplies needed to complete the work as required by the contract, plans, and specifications. Skull Creek Bridge Repairs: This work includes removing the existing curb, rail, and post, installing new T101 bridge railing, installing new approach guardrail, and re-establishing riprap at a abutments. This work will also include all other labor, materials and supplies needed to complete the work as required by the contract, plans, and specifications. The magnitude of this project IAW FAR 36.204 (c) is between $100,000 and $250,000. There will not be a pre-proposal site visit held on this project. Projected start date is July 12, 2010 with completion not later than October 22, 2010 Performance and Payments will be required per the Miller Act and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. PROJECT LOCATION. Flume Creek Bridge: To reach the project take State Hwy 11 to Headquarters, ID located, North of Pierce ID. At Headquarters, turn left and take USFS Road 247 to milepost 18.7 (Flume Creek Bridge) Lolo Creek Bridge: From U.S. Highway 12, turn north onto State Highway 11, at Greer Junction. Travel north on State Highway 11 to milepost 17.5, Weippe, ID. At Weippe, turn onto Musselshell Road and travel east approximately 8 miles to the intersection of Mussleshell Road and USFS road 100 (Peterson’s Corner). Turn east (right) onto USFS Road 100 and travel south east approximately 4.5 miles to the intersection of USFS Road 100 and USFS Road 103. Turn east (left) onto USFS Road 103 and travel to milepost 0.30 (Lolo Creek Bridge). Skull Creek Bridge: To reach the project take State Hwy 11 to Headquarters, ID located, North of Pierce ID. At Headquarters, turn left and take USFS Road 247 to milepost 31.4 (Skull Creek Bridge) All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site.
