- STATEMENT OF WORK FOR 820th RED HORSE BACKGROUND: The 820th RED HORSE Squadron is a highly mobile construction unit that trains all RED HORSE units in asphalt and concrete production. We also conduct large scale home station projects. Our needs exceed the maximum $3000 allowable cost. With frequent deployments and changing projects it is difficult to predict when and how much material we will need from month to month. In light of these challenges, we are requesting a local BPA be established for our aggregate and cement needs. 1 SCOPE: Delivered aggregate and cement for asphalt and concrete production 2 LOCATION: The delivery area is located on Nellis Air Force Base, approximately nine miles north of Las Vegas, Nevada on US Highway 15. The exact location of the 820th RED HORSE squadron is 5179 Malmstrom Ave, Las Vegas, NV, 89191. 2.1. Aggregate will be delivered by end dumps to the 820th RHS stockpile bins. 2.2 Asphalt Cement (AC 30) will be delivered to the Asphalt Plant storage tank. 2.3 Concrete Cement (type II/V) will be delivered to the Concrete plant silos. 2.2. No work will be accomplished outside of the United States of America. 3. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work to be accomplished under this delivery order shall include, but is not limited to the following. 3.1 #67 Rock, Washed, free of deleterious materials, conforms to UFGS 32 13 11 Sec 2.2 and ASTM C33, certification upon request, delivered by end dumps #89 Rock, Washed, free of deleterious materials, conforms to UFGS 32 13 11 Sec 2.2 and ASTM C33, certification upon request, delivered by end dumps Washed Concrete Sand, free of deleterious materials, conforms to UFGS 32 13 11 Sec 2.2 and ASTM C33, certification upon request, delivered by end dumps Manufactured Fines (Crusher Fines) less than 13% fines (USCS No. 200 sieve), conforms to UFGS 32 13 11 Sec 2.2 and ASTM C33, certification upon request, delivered by end dumps Type II/V Cement, delivered as required (24-hour availability in summer), conforms to ASTM C 150, certification upon request, < 0.6% equivalent alkalies. 4 QUALIFICATIONS: Vendor shall provide certification upon request 5. SECURITY: The contractor shall provide physical security for the materials and work under his control. 6. CODES: Contractor shall comply with current manufacture, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Labor Department and Nevada codes, laws, and regulations as applicable to this statement of work. 7. PERMITS: Contractor shall posses or obtain all licensure and permits necessary to accomplish this statement of work. 8. WASTE AND DISPOSAL: Vendor shall be responsible for removal and disposal of all waste as a result of repair and maintenance work. Vendor shall leave work area in the same condition as when they arrive. 13. FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION: The vendor shall comply strictly with all base fire regulations. 14. FACILITIES DAMAGE: Vendor shall be responsible for any damage to the facility caused by their personnel and repair said damages to the satisfaction of the Contracting Officer at no expense to the Government. 15. COORDINATING AND SCHEDULING: The vendor will coordinate all deliveries through one of the individuals on the authorized call list. 16. WORKING HOURS: Deliveries will be accomplished between 0730 -1630 hours Monday through Friday excluding Federal holidays. Work performed outside of these hours shall be coordinated with one of the individuals on the authorized call list prior to work performed. 24 hour delivery of Type II/V cement shall be necessary during summer months. 17. SAFETY: On-site staff shall comply with safety requirements as they pertain to work being accomplished. 18. PROTECTION OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY: Vendor shall be responsible for providing all personal protection (PPE) and is required to wear it when it is needed. 20. UTILITIES: There will be no utilities needed for delivery. 21. FINAL INSPECTION: All material delivered must meet specifications provided, and will be inspected by 820th RHS engineers.
