- Description: The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (LSCDVAMC), 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio, 44106 anticipates soliciting sources and subsequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as Energy Conservation Upgrades". The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, and travel, to perform work under this project. The work will include but not be limited to general construction, alterations, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical work, utility systems, asbestos abatement, necessary removal of existing structures, construction, and certain other items. The location of the work will be at the above stated address. The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 14, 19, and 36 and be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. This Notice is for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to contractors under the Set-Aside program. The solicitation will be a 100% set-aside for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS in accordance with 38 U.S.C. 8127, for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Service-disabled veteran-owned small business concern . The solicitation will be issued on or about Wednesday, May 26, 2010 as an invitation for bid and bids will be due on June 24, 2010 at 10:00AM EST, in Building 3, 1st Floor, Room B145B, 10000 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract. The period of performance shall be 300 calendar days from the receipt of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation, when issued on www.fbo.gov will include specifications and plans. The specifications and plans will be available for free viewing at a site indicated in the solicitation and may be purchased for a fee at that site. This notice is not a request for competitive offers and the determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
