Description: RECOVERY ACT - This notice is released to announce the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Western Regional Office (WRO), intent to award a firm-fixed price construction project. The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, services, equipment, supervision and performance necessary to provide construction activities for crack cleaning, sealing, and applying a preservative seal on 2.200 miles of Route 101, on the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Reservation, Yavapai County, Arizona, located in central Arizona, in accordance with the design drawings, specifications, wage rates, and all contract requirements. The BIA/WRO, requires a firm fixed-price construction project, and the procurement method is Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 13. This project will utilize the Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Project (FP-03), except where otherwise indicated in the solicitation. The Standard Specifications are available at http://flh.fhwa.dot.gov. The solicitation is a Set-Aside for Buy Indian, pursuant to the Buy Indian Act, BIA 1480.402 and.403. The Period of Performance is 120 calendar days. Offerors are expected and responsible to inspect and verify the site conditions where the work is to be performed. This project is classified under NAICS Code 237310 and has a size standard of $33.5 Million. This solicitation is funded by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), Public Law 111-5; and the contractor shall comply with ARRA statute and all applicable laws, regulations, provisions, policies, procedures, and clauses, including (but not limited to) meeting the requirements of Sec. 1512 of the ARRA and other accountability and transparency conditions. Please note that this is only an announcement for an upcoming solicitation. There is no solicitation packet available at this time. The anticipated release of Request for Proposal (RFP) is on or about May 14, 2010. Interested firms are instructed to submit a written request for the RFP package to Geraldine Williams, via email at geraldine.williams@bia.gov or Fax at (602) 379-6763. Telephone requests to obtain the RFP package will NOT be accepted. Offerors are required to frequently check for updates at the website located at www.fbo.gov for updates and to download the solicitation packet when it becomes available.
