- STATEMENT OF WORK Pressure Wash and Paint Historical Plum Orchard Mansion on Cumberland Island, Georgia.The contractor is to supply all material, labor, and supervision to Pressure Wash approximately 30,000 Sq. Ft. exterior and to Prep and Paint approximately 13,000 Sq. Ft. to include 50 large windows, 6 over 6 and 12 over 12 pane and 8 large doors. The pressure washing prep will be bleach and water mixture. All surfaces to be painted shall be scrapped, sanded, and caulked. Repair or replace all rotten wood and/or damage window and door frames. The painting will be a coat of latex primer and two (2) coats of finish grade acrylic latex paint. Cumberland Island National Seashore will provide the paint code to match existing paint. All work shall be done in accordance with generally accepted practices for the trade, Secretary of the Interior Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties, and NPS 28: Cultural Management Guidelines. The work will be done on a remote barrier island off the coast of Georgia which has access by water. The island is approximately 7 miles from St. Marys, GA. Contractor Responsibilities:"Pressure wash entire building"Ensure water does not enter building while pressure washing"Scrape or sand to remove all loose and cracked paint"Replace or repair all rotten or damage wood to include windows, doors, fascias, decorative trim, and hand railings" Re-glaze windows and replace broken or missing panes as needed"Apply one (1) acceptable grade latex primer and two (2) finish grade acrylic latex paint. "Contractor to maintain a safe worksite. Special Considerations:"Electricity, water and bathrooms are available at Plum Orchard."Contractor will comply with all OSHA, Federal, State, and local regulations."At the beginning of the project the Cumberland Island National Seashore (CUIS) will supply transport of vehicles, equipment and supplies from St Marys to Cumberland Island."At the completion of the project CUIS will transport contractor vehicles and equipment from Cumberland Island to St. Marys."Contractor is responsible for their transportation on Cumberland Island from dock to job sites."Contractor is only allowed to drive from dock to jobsite via main roads. "Daily transportation to Cumberland Island will be provided by CUIS Monday - Thursday, departing St. Marys at 7:00 AM and departing Dungeness Dock on Cumberland Island at 5:00 PM. Transportation to and from Cumberland Island outside the above mentioned business hours shall be the contractor's responsibility."CUIS will not be responsible for damage to contractor's equipment during loading or unloading as well as transporting to and from Cumberland Island."The Park will provide a project debris dumpster on site.
