- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award to qualified small business or individual for the provision of Phlebotomy services. The services will be performed on individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment, located at the Federal Detention Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. The Contractor shall be responsible for the commercial practices of a Phlebotomy. These include, but are not limited to collection of blood and urine samples, preparation and tracking of lab samples, daily maintenance of laboratory equipment, biological specimen preparation and packaging for shipment to contract labs, and other duties. At a minimum, the Contractor must have graduated from an accredited school or program, and have a minimum of one year experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical setting. Written documentation of diplomas and certificates must be submitted. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The award will be made to the responsible company or individual who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The contract period will consist of a base year and four option years for renewal. The estimated quantity for the base year and each option year consist of approximately 1440 one hour sessions per year. The number of hours per week shall not exceed thirty (30) hours. The solicitation will be available on or about May 12, 2010 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about June 10, 2010. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 621139 with a size standard of $7.0 million. The solicitation is 100% set-a-side for small business. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible small businesses or individuals may submit a quote.
