Description
STATEMENT OF WORK Scope of Work: To install a paging/sound system throughout the 165th Airlift Wing & CRTC. The work covered by, but not limited to, these specifications consists of furnishing all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform all operations to provide, deliver, and install a completely usable paging system that services the 165th Airlift Wing and Combat Readiness Training Center. The Contractor shall complete the project in accordance with these specifications, all applicable codes & regulations, drawings, and is subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. System Description: 1. Furnish and install a Base Wide public address system. The system shall be capable of high quality, reliable and satisfactory operation as hereinafter described. The system shall be the product of one manufacturer or of an agency experienced in such work. The installation and connection of all equipment and test of the operations of the system shall be made by a representative of the manufacturer or aforementioned agency. Components of the system shall be pre-assembled and pre-wired such that only connections to building wiring system need be made at the site. The system shall be complete with all parts and components necessary for the operation described. 2. The paging system shall service all interiors of building areas as well as the exterior of facility The majority of the existing office area shall require 2X2 drop in type ceiling tile speakers. Said ceiling tiles shall match the existing ceiling tiles. Horns shall be installed in large open interior areas such as warehouse, storage, mechanical rooms and exterior areas.. Weatherproof horns shall be installed on the facility exterior perimeter. Horns shall be installed within the hangar areas so as to provide adequate voice coverage without distortion. If additional speakers or cabling is required, said speakers and wiring shall be installed utilizing contractor provided high reach equipment. 3. All speakers wiring shall be in accordance with all National Electric Codes as well as all local and Air Force regulations. Maximum number of speakers on each wire run shall not exceed manufacturers guideline for paging distribution. Required amplifiers shall be installed within the parameters of the manufacturer. Paging system shall be completely independent of the existing telephone system. Speakers shall be grouped so as to provide voice transmission capability into the following zones: "BLDG Building 1950: Under construction no paging in new construction area. Is not wire to the buildings existing system. The existing system will need to be relocated in new construction area "Building 1930: Inside building working fine, limited paging outside of building and surrounding area. "Building 1924: Inside building working fine, limited paging outside of building and surrounding area. "Building 1923: inside of building working fine, no outside paging or surrounding area "Building 1925: inside of building working fine, limited outside paging of building and surrounding area. "Building 1906 Maintenance Side: 1st and 2nd floors and inside of hanger are fine. ISODOC is not hook up to new system or hanger on DOC now wired. Outside of building working surrounding area has limited paging. "Building 1906 OPS side: inside area working with some problem with old wiring and speakers, hanger is working minor problems. Outside area has limited paging to include surrounding area. "Building 1905: working has some wiring issues with the old paging system. Outside paging working with limited paging in surrounding area. "Building 1907: working inside of building with some noise problem due to old wire. No outside paging. "Building 1910: inside paging working only no outside paging to include surrounding area. "Building 1914: inside paging working, limited outside to Ramp side only. Surrounding area limited. "Building 1904: inside working with problems, no outside or surrounding area paging. "Building 301: working in 165th area, limited in CRTC clinic area and some common areas. "Building 302: inside working 165th as well as CRTC area. Outside and surrounding area works limited to a short distance from building "Building 305: New CRTC building no paging or outside to including surrounding area. "Building 908: Working inside building. Limited outside and surrounding area. "Building 910: No paging inside of building or outside surrounding areas. "Building 840: No paging inside of building or outside surrounding areas. "Building 850: No paging inside of building or outside surrounding areas. "Building 955: has inside and outside with limited surrounding area. The building paging amp is inop at this time. "Building 1401: paging working with some problem areas. No outside paging or surrounding area paging. "Building 1404: inside paging working, limited outside paging to include the surrounding areas. SUMMARY: The CRTC buildings do not have any 165th paging other than what was stated in the above building information (Building 301,302 908 1404). The CRTC has a visiting unit paging that works in most areas of the CRTC complex. This system is extremely old and needs to be replaced totally. There are a lot of areas on the 165th foot print area that the base wide paging system will not be heard do to system limitations, as well as geographic location of buildings from common traveled areas. These areas will be noted during a site survey. Foot note: The existing Avaya telephone system may not be used. All speakers wiring shall be in accordance with all National Electric Codes as well as all local and Air Force regulations. Maximum number of speakers on each wire run shall not exceed manufacturers guideline for paging distribution. Required amplifiers shall be installed within the 2nd floor Tele-Comm Room and connect to the zone paging system. Paging system shall be completely independent of the existing telephone system.
