Description
SOLICITATION NO: 30181AR041 PROJECT TITLE: Replacement/Rehabilitation of Storm Damaged Boat Docks PROJECT LOCATION: U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge, 8588 Route 148, Marion, IL 62959. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project consists of construction of two (2) floating houseboat docks (H1, H2), and repair/rehabilitation of one (1) floating houseboat dock (H3) located at the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge Marina, Marion, IL. The project shall include (1) Removal and disposal of off-site existing Docks H1 and H2 to include all floating docks, gangways, anchorage, and associated equipment and removal of all anchor piles (visible and submerged); (2) Removal and disposal of existing H1, H2, and H3 concrete pads and asphalt pavement and replace with new concrete gangway abutments, riprap, and asphalt walks; (3)Installation of anchorage piles at H1, H2, and H3 docks; (4) Installation of new H1 and H2 Floating Dockage; (5) Installation and wiring for thirteen (13) new Dock Utility Centers; (6) Installation of H1 and H2 gangways to include reinstallation of H3 gangway;.(7) installation of water supply to H1 and H2 Dock Utility Centers. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1 Million.. This procurement is issued unrestricted with regards to business size under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, and is NOT set-aside for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a size standard of $33.5 million The Solicitation package/Request of Proposal (RFP) will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about May 21, 2010 with proposals due 30 days after the RFP due on or about June 20, 2010. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted. The Solicitation will not be available in hard copy. The electronic solicitation package will consist of separate files for the standard form used of a proposal, bid schedule, scope of work, (Specifications), the drawings, and the prevailing wage determination, past performance information requirements, evaluation criteria, and proposal requirements. Please ensure that you have downloaded the complete RFP Solicitation Package before submitting your proposal. SITE VISIT: Offerors are encouraged to inspect the site where the work will be performed.
