- Description of System Requirements This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is set-aside for small business only. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 334419, Size Standard 500 employees. Solicitation/Purchase Request number F2KBAD0083A001 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-40 effective 22 April 2010. The government intends to award one (1) contract for Diameter Fusion Splicer at Kirtland Air Force Base, NM. Description of System Requirements is attached. The Government intends to award line item number (CLIN0001) for Three Phase, Wide Area Plasma, And Fiber Optic Fusion Splicer. QUANTITY: 1. UNIT OF MEASURE: EACH. DESIRED DELIVERY DATE: 30 Days After Award; Respondees are requested to furnish their best delivery date based on Government desired delivery date. FOB: DESTINATION. Inspection and acceptance: DESTINATION. The Government intends to award line item number (CLIN 0002) for custom fiber clamps with rear lids. QUANTITY: 2. UNIT OF MEASURE: EACH. DESIRED DELIVERY DATE: 30 Days After Award; Respondees are requested to furnish their best delivery date based on Government desired delivery date. FOB: DESTINATION. Inspection and acceptance: DESTINATION. The Government intends to award line item number (CLIN 0003) for fusion splicer interface control module. QUANTITY: 1. UNIT OF MEASURE: EACH. DESIRED DELIVERY DATE: 30 Days After Award; Respondees are requested to furnish their best delivery date based on Government desired delivery date. FOB: DESTINATION. Inspection and acceptance: DESTINATION. The Government intends to award line item number (CLIN 0004) for training on advanced operational service, splicing and preventative maintenance. QUANTITY: 1. UNIT OF MEASURE: EACH. DESIRED DELIVERY DATE: 30 Days After Award; Respondees are requested to furnish their best delivery date based on Government desired delivery date. FOB: DESTINATION. Inspection and acceptance: DESTINATION. The following provisions and clauses apply to this procurement: FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration.
