THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System is performing market research to determine if there is sufficient number of qualified Contractors to set aside for various sizes of driver stents/drug-eluting stents with a priority on a competitive Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Acquisition. The Government will use responses to this notice to make the appropriate acquisition decision. The proposed solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. Interested and qualified sources that fall into the above mentioned categories are invited to submit their Capability Statements, no later than the date stated in this announcement, consisting of appropriate documentation including all literature conforming to stated minimum salient characteristics. Salient characteristics for the driver/microdriver stents state the stents must be chromium cobalt and of modular stent design. Drug-eluting stents minimum characteristics include minimal late stent thrombosis, a high safety profile, and efficacious for patient minimal restenosis. This requirement will be to provide, on a consignment basis, various sizes of driver stents and drug-eluting stents/implants to be stored at the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System. Submit your capability statements to the contracting Officer shown below no later than 4:00 p.m. (Mountain Time). May 21, 2010.
