- 1. The purpose of Amendment 0001 is as follows: a.To change Section A, Contract Years, to reflect all five (5) years of the contract. b.To extend the Solicitation proposal date from 14 May 2010 to 17 May 2010. Proposals are due by 4:00 EST while Bid Samples are due no later than 2:00 EST in accordance with ARDEC 46. c.Paragraph C.3.12.1 Contractor Proposed Design Changes (page 16) The last sentence of this paragraph references Section C.3.5.1 that describes the process for Government acceptance of Contractor proposed design changes. Reference to Section C.3.5.1 is a typographical error. Reference should be made to SOW paragraph C.11.1 which states that contractors shall submit RFWs, ECPs and NORs for Government acceptance of Contractor proposed changes. d.Paragraph C.3.14.1 Ammunition Demilitarization and Disposition Plan (page 17) This paragraph requires a demilitarization and disposal plan IAW (DI-SAFT-81640) that complies with U.S. Army disposal policy. All data required is delineated in referenced Data Item Description (DID), DI-SAFT-81640, see https://assist.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/ to search for DID. In addition, Department of Defense Instruction, Number 5000.02 has been added as attachment 18 in Section J. e. ARDEC 143 sub paragraph (a) is corrected to read 450 M11 Samples in place of 350. f.52.209-3 FIRST ARTICLE APPROVAL--CONTRACTOR TESTING (SEP 1989) (page 57) Sub paragraph (b)is corrected to state the first article test report is due 30 calendar days following the First Article Test (FAT). g.Drawing 12983052: Change note 4 to: Material: Strapping, Flat Steel, Type 1, Regular Duty, Finish B, Grade 2, per ASTM D3953. Change Note 5 to: Material: Strapping Seal, Regular Duty, Finish B, Grade 2 or 3, per ASTM D3953. h.Packing Instruction P10 - Change Note P10 to read: "PLACE SIX SEALED OUTER PACKS IN TWO LAYERS OF THREE INTO OVER-PACK (WOOD BOX) 12983048-1, SUCH THAT THE ARROWS MARKED ON ALL OUTER PACKS ARE POINTING IN THE SAME DIRECTION AS THE ARROW MARKED ON THE OVER-PACK. THE OUTER-PACK WITH THE PULL STRAP SHALL BE PLACED ON THE TOP LAYER INSIDE THE OVER-PACK. PLACE CHIPBOARD 12983052-5 AS REQUIRED INSIDE OVER-PACK TO ACHIEVE A TIGHT PACK. CLOSE, SEAL, AND STRAP OVER-PACK IN ACCORDANCE WITH DRAWING 8796522 USING STRAPPING, 12983052-2 AND SEALS, 12983052-3. i.Drawing 12993729 Note 2: is changed from material be N.C.I.R. to N.C.F.R.? j.Drawing ACV00617, Sealless Comb Tool for Steel Strap, listed in the TDPL was not in the supplied TDP. A copy of Drawing ACV00617 has been added to section J as attachment 19. k.Section L.1 Proposal Submission, paragraph C is revised to state Bid samples shall be submitted to the following address and must be received by 17 May 2010, 2:00 PM EST. 2. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
