Description
Furnace Solicitation The U.S. Forest Service, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest has a requirement to remove an existing oil burning furnace, and supply and install a new electric furnace in a bunk house at the White Pass Work Center. All work shall be completed in accordance with federal, state, and local codes and regulations. Contractor shall furnish all labor, permits, inspections, tools, material, equipment, transportation, supervistion, operating supplies and incidentals to complete the project on time and within schedule in compliance with specifications. A site visit will occur on Wednesday May 26, 2010 at 9:30 am. Award will be made in sufficient time for planning and preparation with on-site work to start on or about June 15, 2010. The construction period of performance is 30 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. A maximum of 5 calendar days is allowed for the completion after work has started. A negotiated, firm-fixed price contract is contemplated requiring submission of past performance, cost/price quote and specific information about the brand, model, warrant and performance of the furnace offered. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government. The estimated construction range of magnitude for this project is less than $25,000. This acquisition is determined to be under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is an Emerging Small Business set aside. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). The solicitation with specifications and wage rates is attached. No hard copies of the solicitation and applicable amendments will be mailed or issued. To receive the Request for Proposal package and any applicable amendments, offerors must download them from the https://www.fbo.gov/ website.
