Description
RECOVERY--PER FAR 5.7, THIS NOTICE IF PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTORS UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBERS: W91278-10-D-0028 & W91278-10-R-0029; These contracts were awarded to BARLOVENTO, L.L.C., 431 TECHNOLOGY DR, DOTHAN AL 36303-1039; and MECO BUILDERS, INC., 20 JACKSON LAKE RD, CHATSWORTH GA 30705-5145. IDIQ contracts which were fully completed and established in accordance with FAR Part 15, on 19-Nov-2009. These contracts are for Various Horizontal and Minor Vertical Construction projects in Georgia and Alabama. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to award a Task Order for construction ofThe proposed dam site is located across Skurty Creek, a tributary to Noonday Creek, about 300 to 400 feet upstream of Mark Avenue, in Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia. The project site is bordered by a Georgia Power Company easement to the north, the Lakeside at Town Center apartment complex to the west, Crete Trucking and Wellstar Services to the east and Williams Drive to the south. Portions of an existing sewer line and manholes will be removed from the site area. The existing lines are located in the proposed flooding limits. The lines will be located on the site to a higher elevation. The dam is approximately 340 long and approximately 115 wide. The bottom elevation is 996 and the top of the dam is 1013 with 3:1 slopes. An 18 wide and 126 long concrete spillway with a weir outlet control structure will be utilized to control the flow from the dam. A spillway with Amorflex overflow protection will be utilized for the overflow out side of the concrete spillway. POC: Carl Wade, Contracting Officer Mobile District, US Army Corps of Engineers, P.O.
