Description
Pre-Soloicitation Notice Pre-Solicitation Notice The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) intends to increase the maximum allowable under the Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contracts with the Developing Evidence to Inform Decisions about Effectiveness (DEcIDE). The purpose of the increase in maximum is to allow AHRQ to compete new Task Orders within the original ordering period. Period of Performance: September15th, 2005 through September 15th 2010. The total of all increases will be no more than $40 million. The DEcIDE Research Network is comprised of thirteen contractors that provide a variety of rapid turnaround research services for AHRQ, including conducting comparative effectiveness using specialized health databases created or supplied by the contractors. The main purpose of the DEcIDE network is to expeditiously develop valid scientific evidence and methodologies about the outcomes, comparative clinical effectiveness, safety, and appropriateness of health care items and services for improving the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of healthcare delivered through the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP programs. The network is comprised of academic, clinic, and practice-based organizations with access (or partners providing access) to electronic health information databases and the capacity to conduct timely research that meets the priorities and requests for evidence described in the Medicare Modernization Act, Section 1013.
