Description
Question and Answers Question : What is this duration of this contract? Answer: As stated in the pre-solicitation notice, project phasing is anticipated based on dollar value and funding. The number of phases depends ultimately on fiscal year funding availability and number of phases of the construction project. At this point there is no way to accurately predict the duration of this project. At this point we do not anticipate it will go beyond December, 2013 but may take less time. Question: Are we required to have both a business license in the state of West Virginia, and professional engineers registered in the state of West Virginia to pursue this contract? Answer: West Virginia has a separate state license requirement in this state. A/E firms from out of state have to have a business license by the State of West Virginia. For more information you can visit West Virginia State Secretary website at www.sos.wv.gov/. You can also contact the "West Virginia Board of Architecture". Their website is www.wvbrdarch.org and explains most of the requirement and their number is (304) 528-5825. Question: We do not currently have a business license in WV, but can get one. Would you still consider us for this opportunity if we agreed to get a license if we are awarded the project? Answer: You must be licensed in WV and registered prior to award. Question: Are you looking for an architecture firm to be the prime consultant or an MEP engineering firm to be the prime consultant? Answer: The NAICS code for this project is 541310 Architectural Services. The definition of this code is This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in planning and designing residential, institutional, leisure, commercial, and industrial buildings and structures by applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning regulations, building codes, and building materials. You are welcome to submit a SF-330 and we will determine if you are qualified Question: Please clarify item # 3 "Proposed Approach for Handling IDIQ for Design" Answer: This will be removed through modification to FBO announcement (see below). Question: Regarding the 250 mile radius requirements, can the subconsultants' office(s) be located outside the 250 mile radius? Or does the entire team need to meet the radius requirements? Answer: We do not require subcontractors to be located within a specific radius. Change to Pre-solicitation Announcement Delete: Interested A/E firms must submit the following additional information on Part H of the SF-330 - #3: 3. PROPOSED APPROACH FOR HANDLING IDIQ FOR DESIGN: Describe proposed design philosophy. Address how your A/E firm will handle anticipated problems and potential solutions.
