- Description
- Amendment #02 Questions and Answers to W911RZ-10-T-0152 Move Trailers Question: Who will remove A/C unit from the roof? Answer: The contractor shall be responsible for disconnecting the rooftop A/C unit, transporting to Turkey Creek and reconnecting it. Question: Who will disconnect and reconnect porch? Answer: The contractor shall disconnect existing porch and turn it in to a Government representative at PCMS. Question: When trailer is separated, dividing wall will need to be removed; there appears to be utilities in this wall. Who will handle removal and reinstallation of this wall and all it contains? Answer: The contractor shall be responsible for removal of dividing wall and reconnection of all interior utilities at Turkey Creek. Question: When trailer is separated, the interior ceiling trim may not hold up. Who will be responsible for replacement of interior ceiling trim, should it break upon removal? Who will be responsible for removal and reinstallation of carpet in order for unit to be separated? Answer: The moving contractor will be responsible for ceiling trim and carpet. The intent is to reuse the existing carpet so every effort should be made to cut the carpet at the mate line so that it can be re-seamed at Turkey Creek. If there is not a seam at the mate line the contractor that is moving the trailer will have to cut the carpet with a utility knife or carpet cutting knife at the mate line (where the trailer comes apart into the two halves). Once the trailer is placed on the foundation at Turkey Creek and the two halves are mated back together the moving contractor will need to re-seam the carpet back together where they previously cut it. Question: Can this solicitation not be delayed until May 6 in order that we may perform a site visit? Answer: Due to Pinon Canyon Maneuver Sites security and the urgency of this requirement, a formal site visit will not be held. The quote due date has been extended to 12:00p.m. Mountain Time on 06 May 2010.
