- USCG Core Technologies Sensors Section Draft Navigational Sensors and Sensor Systems Project Requirements The U.S. Coast Guard, Command and Control Engineering Center (C2CEN) is soliciting capability information from potential 8(a) sources for engineering, technical and project support services for the Core Technologies Sensors Section (CT-N2), navigational sensors and sensor systems project. Services include on-site laboratory (lab) management, planning, development, and implementation of new systems and associated sensors, recapitalization of existing systems and sensors, and support of legacy systems and sensors. Services also include scheduled maintenance, upgrades, or repairs of navigational sensors and sensor system software and hardware. The primary place of performance is C2CEN, Portsmouth, VA; however, travel is anticipated within the continental U.S. [CONUS] and outside the continental U.S. [OCONUS] at C2CEN and designated field units. The anticipated performance period is a 1-year base period plus four (4), 1-year option periods. C2CEN anticipates a 100% 8(a) set-aside for this initiative with the North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 541330: Engineering Services, except Military and Aerospace Equipment and Military Weapons ($27M). Contract personnel of a resultant contract must possess a valid in scope personnel SECRET security clearance for national security information. Based on the information provided (including the attached draft requirements), 8(a) firms having capabilities to perform this work and desiring consideration are requested to submit a response of no more than eight (8) pages (on one side, 8" x 11" size paper, 12 point Arial font). Please identify whether your organization can provide all of the requirements listed in this notice. Include the following: (1) name and address of firm, (2) size of business per NAICS code; (3) average annual revenue for the past three years and number of employees; (4) business status: small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or woman-owned; and (5) number of years in business. Submit all responses to this request to Gwendolyn Scott, Contracting Officer, at Gwendolyn.b.scott @uscg.mil and Juanita Harvey, at Juanita.e.harvey@uscg.mil no later than May 10, 2010, 5:00 pm (EST). Please reference "CT-N2 Engineering, Technical & Project Support" in the subject line for all responses. Only electronic responses will be accepted. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE. The Government will not pay for any information solicited as a result of this request for information.
