- NOTICE OF SOURCES SOUGHT: There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This sources sought is in support of a market survey being conducted by the Center for Countermeasures (CCM) at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM to determine potential sources technically capable and qualified to provide a Millimeter Wave Travel Wave Tube Amplifier that operates in the Ka-Band (26.5 to 40 GHz) at a power output of 40W. CCM is seeking a provider for the following: a VSTAR 30 millimeter TWTA, model VZA-6902J1 whose operational functionality is commanded, controlled, and monitored using the JETs software through RS232 serial port interface. The TWTA Specifications are: Frequency range32-37 GHz Instantaneous Bandwidth1 GHz Gain 46 dB Gain Control20 dB Peak and Average Output Powere 40 Watts Input Drive Power- 51 to -10 dBm Pulse Duty Cycle Range0 to 50 % Pulse Width RangeCW to 33 ns PRF Range0 to 200 kHz Power Flatness-(within a 1 GHZ band)less than 1 dB Load VSWRgreater than 1.5:1 Operating Temperature Range0 C to 50 C Prime Power115 AC, 60 Hz RF Input and Output ConnectionWR 28 Wave Guide The control unit & power supply must be in a rack-mounted unit and provide suitably regulated voltages to operate the amplifier within the performance specifications. Front panel indicators and control must be provided to monitor and adjust all critical currents and voltages. Fault protection functions shall be incorporated to protect the amplifier from power supply faults as well as input pulses that exceed duty cycle or pulse width limits. The North American Industry code for this acquisition is 334220. The information and capabilities submitted by the vendors will be used to prepare a prospective offerors list and aid in acquisition strategy. Include any suggestions on what your firm would consider standard commercial practices. Also, indicate what type of company your business is (small business, 8(a), veteran-owned small business, etc.). Again, participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the Government. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if a solicitation is not issued. Any responses to this notice expressing interest in being considered for this proposed contract should include the following: Company Name, Point of Contact, Address, Telephone and Fax numbers, E-mail address, Business Size, DUNS number, Cage Code, and Tax ID number. Notice to Potential Offerors: All offerors who provide goods or services to the DOD must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR), Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) as well as, the Wide Area Work Flow System (WAWF).
