Description
The Air Force is seeking sources for a potential 100 percent set-aside for certified 8(a) program participants, HUBZone or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE ACQUISTION MAY BE SOLICIATED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. This is a sources sought for planning purposes only. Project Description: Remove all the electrical, mechanical, fire prevention/protection (equipment), conduits, pipes and other utility, as required to perform all work related to the repair of the wood arch structure, cutout and remove adjacent board wall as required to prepare the damaged structure for repair. Patch the wall and reinstall all the equipment and reconnect the loops to reestablish flow of utility and services. The contractor shall also maintain the flow of services during contract operations. The estimated magnitude for this entire project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Prime contractors who are certified 8(a) program participants, HUBZone or SDVOSB and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation MUST submit the following by 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on 7 May 2010. Responses should include the following: (1) a positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) a copy of 8(a) approval/certification; (3) date of HUBZone certification; (4) documentation of SDVOSB status; (5) listing of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact with their phone numbers, and an explanation of the relevancy of the project; (6) documentation from surety or their agent of your capability to be bonded for bid, performance and payment bonds for this project; (7) If you are a HUBZone considering a joint venture that has not been formalized, you will need to specify the firm(s) you intend to partner with and how you plan to officially form the joint venture. Firms interested should provide the above documentation by email(preferred) or fax. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested certified 8(a) program participants, HUBZone or SDVOSB concerns. Responses shall be limited to 10 pages. Please include your DUNS number and your CAGE code. Failure to submit all information requested would result in a contractor being considered "non-responsive" in this requirement. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a set-aside or an unrestricted basis will be posted as a modification in PIXS and Federal Business Opportunities.
