- Description
- Requirements Document The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center is conducting a market survey/sources sought to determine the availability of capable small business concerns including Small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) Firms, Women-owned small businesses, Hubzone small businesses, and Service-Disabled Veteran-owned small businesses. This is not a Request for Proposal and the Government is not committed to award a contract pursuant to the announcement. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning the market research. The applicable NAICS Code is 621511. All firms responding to this market survey must identify their firms size and type of business (e.g. small business, service disabled, HubZone 8(a), etc., and whether or not they are the manufacturers as defined in FAR 19.102 (F)(1)(2) or dealer or distributor of the products or services. This will help determine whether or not this procurement will be set-a-side for any of the programs described in this announcement. This is a requirement for Laboratory Testing Services (Blood Donor Screening). The Clinical Center Department of Transfusion Medicine (DTM) operates an FDA licensed, hospital –based blood bank that collects and processes blood components for transfusion and for laboratory research use. In addition, it collects and processes HCT/P products for cellular therapy and laboratory research use. Laboratory tests required for lot release of these products are performed according to FDA regulations and AABB Accreditation Standards. Products are collected 6 days/week, Monday – Saturday. Attachment -See Technical Requirements Capability statements must be submitted no later than May 12, 2010 at 4:00PM eastern. Maximum length of statement- no more than five (5) pages.
