Description

Not For Profit Eligibility Information Request. This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or an obligation on the part of the Department of Education (the Department), Office of Federal Student Aid, to acquire any products or services. The Department does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought, nor pay for the information provided. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges shall arise as a result of submission of responses to the Sources Sought and the Department's use of such information. Organizations are not required to submit a response to this notice. Failure to respond to this notice will not prevent an organization from responding to future notices or announcements. This market research outreach is for the Department of Education to begin identifying potential sources only. The Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (HCERA), Pub.L. 111-152, requires the Secretary to contract with each eligible and qualified not-for-profit servicer to service loans. See attached document for additional details.
