Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD intends to award a sole-source order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-05-G-0026 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing Company) of St. Louis, MO. The order will procure development efforts associated with the creation of F/A-18 engineering simulation software updates, simulation assessment documentation and supporting data analysis reports. MDC will perform stability and control investigation and analyses, six degree-of-freedom model increment development, model validation and documentation creation. MDC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the F/A-18 aircraft in its various configurations. MDC is the only source with the software, hardware, equipment, knowledge, expertise, facilities and qualified personnel necessary to accomplish this effort within NAWCAD's technical, cost and schedule requirements. Further, MDC created the software that is being updated as a result of this effort and that software is proprietary to MDC. Any interested party must have the software, hardware, equipment, knowledge, expertise, facilities and qualifed personnel necessary to accomplish this effort within the Government's requirements. Interested parties must submit a Statement of Qualifications demonstrating its ability to meet the Government's requirements. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
