- This is an AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the ARRA of 2009; interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful offeror. The Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation on or about May 13, 2010. The solicitation will be released through this FedBizOpps website and prospective offerors should visit this website to obtain a copy. All future information about this acquisition will be distributed solely through this website. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201; however the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Road 950 includes the removal of earth barriers to access the site, installation of a new structural arch bottomless pipe complete with concrete footings, and rebuilding the road at the site of the culvert installation. Road 152 includes removing an existing log crib wall and culvert pipe, installing a mechanically stabilized earth wall, new pipe arch culvert and rebuilding the roadway at the site. Estimated start date is July 1, 2010 and complete by November 1, 2011. A pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for Wed. May 26, 2010 at 9:00 a.m., meet at Junction of FH-9 and Road 208, just past the town of Prichard, ID (Thompson Pass Junction). Travel east on Interstate 90 from Coeur d Alene and take Exit 43 at Kingston, ID. Turn North onto Forest Highway 9 and continue for approx. 22 miles to the junction.
