Description

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to University of Kansas, Center for Research in Lawrence, KS for research and development of a software process that can be applied to acoustic echosounder of data of a reservior to determine georeference bottom sediment thickness to be delivered to US Geological Survey in Vicksburg, MS by 04/30/2011. University of Kansas, Center for Research is the only known source for this requirement because required items are not available in marketplace based on pilot test and the Government's needs could not be met from another vendor without extensive modifications that would not be cost efficient to the Government. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
