Description

In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by Public Law 111-5, this notice is provided for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), intends to solicit competition and issue a task order under the established Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract number 98210AD00X awarded to Perini Management Services, Framingham, MA; MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Kennesaw, GA; and BlueScope Construction, Kansas City, MO. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THESE INCUMBENT CONTRACTORS. The original IDIQ contract awards were made on a competitive basis. The task order to be competed and issued against the aforementioned contracts is for the following construction requirement: INSTALL FIRE SUPPRESSION SPRINKLER SYSTEM AT THE SOUTHEAST ECOLOGICAL SCIENCE CENTER IN GAINESVILLE, FL. The project will include installing a fire suppression sprinkler system in a approximately 30,000 square feet building that is tied into an existing fire suppression system. The installed system will consist of a wet pipe antifreeze type sprinkler system for all areas of the buildings. The task order is anticipated to be awarded no later than May 31, 2010 with a 230-day construction period of performance. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be provided to the IDIQ contractors on or about April 28, 2010.
