- Description
- A Sources Sought Notice was published earlier on the FedBIZOps website on 16 March 2009 under solicitation number FA9301-09-R-0024. However, the solicitation number has been changed to FA 9301-10-R-0008 and this number will be utilized on all documentation that is posted on FedBIZOps for this solicitation. This acquisition is for Exterior and Interior Painting of Various Base Facilities. Subject acquisition includes: painting the exterior of various facilities, water tanks and fuel tanks, located on the main base and housing areas at Edwards AFB, CA and furnishing all paint, material, equipment and supervision to perform surface preparation, asbestos abatement, lead-based paint abatement, and associated sampling and testing of materials to determine the presence of asbestos or lead. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 238320, Size Standard $14M. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price, Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract will be awarded. The Government intends to issue a single solicitation and make a single award to one offeror. The period of performance will be five (5) years. The magnitude of the construction projects is between $5M and $10M. Contract award is estimated to take place in July 2010. This acquisition will be a competitive 8(a) reserved for 8(a) contractors in Small Business Administration Region IX (California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, and Guam). The source selection will be conducted utilizing Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) technique in accordance with AFFARS 5315.1. Technical proposals will not be required. In using the best value approach, the Government seeks to award to an offeror who gives the Air Force the greatest confidence that it will best meet our requirements affordably. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The Specifications will be posted on the Internet at: http://www.fedbizops.gov. The Government requests industry recommendations, opinions, and feedback concerning the documents. It is requested that any recommendations, opinions, and feedback be faxed to the Contract Specialist, Deidra O'Neal at (661) 277-4003, e-mail to deidra.oneal@edwards.af.mil or Lt. Tieu Myers at (661) 277-2310 or email to tieu.myers@edwards.af.mil. The solicitation and all subsequent notices and amendments will be posted on the Internet at: http://www.fedbizops.gov. Industry Day and site visit will be held prior to the proposal due date, and the date of the site visit will be included in the solicitation and will be posted as a notice. All individuals wishing to attend the site visit must pre-register by submitting the following information by either fax (661) 277-8024, e-mail to deidra.oneal@edwards.af.mil, or email to tieu.myers@edwards.af.mil at least 72 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) in advance of the date and time stipulated for the site visit. If this information is not received within 72 hours prior scheduled site visit, access will be denied to Edwards AFB.
