Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This project will involve the purchase and installation of a dome frame roof on approximately 7 feet high by 1 foot thick ( this thickness tapers at the top to 9 inches), and approximately 30 feet long concrete walls. The old wooden roof was destroyed by this year snow storms leaving the salt and sand pits unprotected from the elements. This project will perform remedial protection until the new facility maintenance complex is completed. The proposed area has 6 columns 10 6 tall and 19 by 19. These columns except one support the 7 walls in a U shape. The distance between the left and right walls is 38 feet and 8 inches wide as measure from the inside. The length of the walls from the front to rear columns is 27 feet and 9 inches long. This dome frame roof must provide ample height ((at least 25 including the height of the walls) and extraordinary clearance for ease of movement, loading and handling of material by Front end Loaders and Dump Trucks. There must be no internal columns to interfere with vehicles or equipment in this salt sheds. This structure is to provide inclement weather and freezing conditions protection and to keep material dry and easy to work with. Wet, caked material is difficult to handle and lengthens the distribution process. Please see attached Solicatation, Statement of Work and Attachhments for further details.
