Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has a requirement to procure a StereoInvestigator System to include the following: 1) Stereo Investigator software for Design Based Sterology. Image Analysis and 2D Anatomical Mapping. Include six months of software support contract. Requires Windows 2000 or XP operating system. 2) Image Stack Module. Analyze confocal, brightfield and widefield fluorescence 3D image stacks. Shall have the capability to create and export brightfield and widefield fluorescence image stacks to Neurolucida and Stereo Investigator offline workstations. 3) Software module for controlling automated microscope functions. Upright microscope models include the Olympus BX-61, Nikon 90i, Leica DM4x00/5x00/6x00 and Zeiss Axioimager M1 and Z1. Inverted microscope models include the Olympus IX-81 4) Stereo Investigator 3-Year+ Software Upgrade and Support 5) Focus Measurement Encoder with accuracy to 0.1um of the actual microscope stage focus position. Achieves closed-loop focus operation for more accurate Z-axis measurement. Includes microscope mounting bracket. 12mm range. 6) 2-axis computer-controlled stepping motor system comprised of 4”x3” XY stepping stage with linear encoders (0.05 um resolution, < 3um accuracy), joystick, slide holder and 3-axis controller (Z axis for encoder feedback) with interface to PC 7) Software module for controlling motorized stage 8) Special motorized stage system package, to include motorized stage, controller, encoder & software drivers) 9) Monochrome cooled camera without IR filter. 2/3” chip, 1360H x 1036V picture elements native output at 10 frames per second. Multiple alternative binning modes (up to 8x8 or subframed) at faster frame rates, 1.4 megapixel imaging. Wide-bandwidth light sensitivity, optimal brightfield and epifluorescent applications. Include Firewire PC interface card. Requires a C-mount adaptor on the microscope. 10) Adjustable C-Mount Adapter – 60N 1.0x 11) Adapter 60N – T2 1.0x 12) Optronics camera software module 13) Calibration grid slide w/ ref. grid squares in dimensions of 25 & 250um increments 14) Standard toolkit to include: a. Extra long metric ball hex wrenches (1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3, 4, 5mm) b. English ball wrenches (5/64 to 5/16”) c. Screwdriver set (slotted 1, 2, 3, 4mm, phillips # 000, #00, #0, #1) 15) One day of on-site installation followed by no more than two days of training 16) System testing/QA activities performed at Contractor’s Site, prior to delivery of system. 17) Zeiss AxioImager M2 microscope system configured for brightfield and multi-channel fluorescent work with Neurolucida and/or Stereo Investigator. Includes LED lamp, X-Cite120Q with iris fluorescent light source with spare bulb, motorized fluorescent filter turret and shutter, manual encoded 7x objective turret, manual condenser and dust cover. 18) Objective Set: 5x and 40x Plan NeoFluar and 100x/1.40 Oil Plan Apo objectives 19) Motorized dual photo port upgrade kit for AxioImager 20) 5 fluorescent filter cube sets, one for each fluorochome 21) Vibration isolation platform for microscope. Broad band vibration filter, especially efficient at low frequencies. Vendors that are capable of providing the Government with the equipment described above may request a copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to 301-480-8844 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that RFQ RECOVERY-NICHD-10-087 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ.
