- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: DATA ANALYSIS SUPPORT Background: The Military Nutrition Division (MND), United States Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of the services to assist in data analysis of a research protocol to determine the relationship between weight status at accession into the military and later weight and related health outcomes. Description: The Data Analysis Support Team (DAST) will provide support for the Military Nutrition Division (MND), U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) in Natick, MA. The DAST must have the background and capabilities to assist in the completion of the following tasks: 1) Project initiation conference call, data use agreement (DUA) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) to confirm the approach of the project and to ensure that the required documents necessary for the initiation of the study are in place; 2) Project development: Receipt of data, data cleaning, frequency analysis for all variables to ensure that all de-identified data are transferred successfully and that all of the previously identified variables are cleaned and functional (no outliers, missing data noted and approach to deal with them proposed, etc.); 3) Descriptive analysis of changes in Army accession body weight standards; 4) Modeling analysis to assess body weight parameters at accession with later health outcomes. The requisite skills to perform these tasks include: the design of the analytical approaches, development of the analytical files, maintaining and managing data in preparation for data analysis and report generation, checking data specifications and data output, performing data analysis using SAS 9.2, producing tables, listings and graphs, conducting statistical analysis, developing of statistical models, interpretation of statistical models, and development of research reports and publications in collaboration with investigators. Candidates: To respond to this RFI, interested candidates are REQUIRED to submit the following for their submission to enable the Government to efficiently evaluate the capability to provide the required services: 1.A resume and documentation reflecting the quality combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate that the applicants possesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the support services.
