- Description
- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): ALUTIIQ GLOBAL SOLUTIONS LLC W911S2-06-D-0006-0093 This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because this is an order under an existing contract that was awarded using non-competitive procedures. The Directorate of Contracting issued a modification to implement a change order to incorporate a design change IAW FAR 52.243-4. The modification includes changes to the plumbing design to avoid problems that arose at the 3rd BCT barracks that were recently renovated. The new scope calls for providing and installing a double 4X2 wye in the vertical sanitation line and plumb the two upper showers into it, a 4 wall cleanout at 48 AFF with a chrome cover, and a Spears transition fitting on the PVC supply line on the flush valves. The contractor shall also change the 4X3 tees and 4 tee to 4X3 wyes and 4 wye with a 45 degree elbow. The contractor will also repair broken vanity/vent lines in the block wall that were improperly repaired by the PW shops, and change the true union ball valves in the hallway to glued CPVC and PVC ball valves. Finally, the contractor shall install all necessary fire caulk in the fire separation areas in the stairwells. All necessary locations were confirmed with the fire department. The project was funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This is not a request for quotation or a solicitation for offers.
