- Description
- The 23rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron is seeking information from vendors who can provide positionable lighting at 50 aircraft sunshades for use in aircraft maintenance during hours of low visibility. Products utilizing battery, solar, AC/DC power, or combinations of these power sources are being considered. All technologies will be considered. Lighting products should be movable and posable to allow for maintainance personnel to position lights to illuminate aircraft access points at various angles with sufficient brightness. Sunshades are outdoors, and provide only overhead protection, so only products that are rugged and constructed/rated for outdoor applications will be considered. Limiting factors are a lack of DC power at the parking ramp, equipment usage by personnel on multiple shifts (24 hr) and a need for easy servicability of lighting units (changing bulbs/parts). In response to this notice, please provide company data, spec sheets, POC and contact info. No pricing information is sought at this time. Based on the response to this notice, the 23rd Contracting Squadron may establish a date for vendor demonstrations. This is a request for information only. The Government does not have an active requirement for these products at this time, and funding has not been allocated for purchase of aircraft sunshade lighting systems.
