Description
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Pakistan, intends to procure and erect additional modular office space at the U.S. Embassy Islamabad, Pakistan. This Forced Entry/Blast Resistant (FE/BR) modular office structure will provide a 15 minute safe area for Embassy staff in Islamabad, Pakistan. The building must meet Department of State (DOS) standards for unclassified offices and OBO building standards. The contractor will design the modular office building and ensure that the plans have detailed architectural, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and electrical design drawings and specifications so that USAID/Pakistan can properly plan and arrange for the concrete slab upon which the blast resistant modular structures can be properly installed without the need for substantial or costly change orders. The modular building units must be built to the OSPB security standards for an unclassified Stand Alone building in a critical threat post including blast standards. The entire building must meet 15 minute FE/BR standards. Contractor must be DS certified. Design & installation must meet Zone 4 seismic requirements. The units must consist of pre-manufactured sections, not to exceed 10 feet x 40 feet long in order to be transported into the Embassy compound. This will be a full and open competition and the procedures set forth in FAR Part 12 shall apply. In accordance with FAR 5.102(d) availability of the solicitation is limited to this electronic medium only. The solicitation will be posted herewith at FEDBIZOPPS web page () next week.
