- On or about May 3, 2010, the National Park Service will be issuing a request for quote to construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically (paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available) on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. An additional source for information is the Federal Business Opportunities website at https://www.fbo.gov/. Solicitation documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, TIFF and Adobe PDF formats. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http//ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notification will be sent.Scope of work: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation and supervision necessary for repair and replacement of various building components at the Fort Necessity National Battlefield maintenance building, Farmington, PA 15437. Repairs include resealing skylights, replace overhead garage door openers, replace roof gutter, and replace doors, and additional painting and other minor repairs. The NAICS code and size standard for this procurement are 238990 and $14.0 million. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Only one award shall be made. The estimated time for completion is 120 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Simplified Acquisition procedures will be used for this solicitation. The solicitation will be set aside for small business in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) subpart 19.2. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsive contractor submitting the lowest price, technically acceptable quote. A pre-bid site visit may be held (see solicitation package for time and date of scheduled visit). All questions must be in writing and may be submitted to Gettysburg National Military Park, Administration-Karen Umstot, 1000 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, PA, 17325 or emailed to karen.umstot@nps.gov.Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests being sent via mail must contain a verifiable return address or they will not be opened.
