Description

Solicitation Package The Bureau of the Public Debt on behalf of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau intends to acquire a new only brand name or equal Mitsubishi KF-200 Volumetric KF Moisture Meter and related accessories for the Tobacco Laboratory. The new moisture meter will be used to determine moisture content in smokeless tobacco, cut filler for roll-your-own and pipe tobaccos, and cigars/cigarettes and to calibrate microwave resonance moisture analyzers used in other laboratory equipment. Question pertaining to this Solicitation shall be submitted no later than April 22, 2010, at 12:00pm ET. Responses and Questions to this request can be emailed to psb3@bpd.treas.gov - Attention PWhite-MG, re: Mitsubishi KF200. It is the Offerors responsibility to ensure proposals are received in a timely matter. Offerors proposing an "or equal" shall explain what makes your product an or equal. Provide a product description that identifies the specifications, characteristics, and capabilities of your product and clearly demonstrate how they are equal to or better then the brand name provided. If your product is considered in the competitive range, based on the fact that the written documentation clearly shows it is equal, you may be asked to provide a fully licensed copy for the government to test. Anyone asked to supply a licensed copy and not selected, will have their copy returned and it will be removed from the government operating system it was installed on
