Description
Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractorto provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and other resources to complete this project. The principal components of the work involve expanding the yard of a high voltage electrical substation, demolition of existing concrete foundations, constructing new concrete foundations, substation grounding, cable trench, seeding and erosion control and other additional items as described on the drawings and specifications. The work is located near Killdeer in Dunn County, North Dakota. This solicitation is 100% HUBZone Set-Aside. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All work is to be completed within 180 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. Any non-U.S. (Foreign National) visiting or working at any Western Area Power Administration facility must receive prior written approval from the appropriate Western Security Manager. The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Interested parties can download the solicitation at http://e-center.doe.gov/ or http://www.fbo.gov on or about May 4, 2010 and the projected bid opening date is June 3, 2010. It is the responsibility of the bidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments. Note: All bids for this IFB shall be mailed to Western Area Power Administration, 200 4th Street SW, Huron, SD 57350-2474.
