Description
NAICS Code: 2341 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to issue a solicitation in the form of a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the construction of an all-weather access road to existing concrete pads on the EPA's Research Triangle Park Main Campus at the area known as theAmbient-air Innovation Research Site (AIRS). The resulting order will be awarded in accordance with the procedures outlined in FAR parts 13 and 36. The project includes constructing the all-weather access road and turn-area; grading and preparing subsurface of proposed access road; preparing the site and constructing the concrete foundation for a Lower Atmosphere Profiler; and establishing turf. The Government will hold a pre-quote site visit. The details will be included as part of the quotation package. The project cost estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. Davis Bacon wage rates will apply. The anticipated issuance date of the RFQ is approximately May 3, 2010. Quotes will be due approximately 14 days after the RFQ issuance date. The solicitation and amendments will be available at http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd. It will be the quoter's responsibility to frequently check the same site where the solicitation is posted for any amendments. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the Government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on part of the quoter will render them ineligible for award. Prospective contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov//. The NAICS code is 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, with a small business size standard of $33.5 Million in gross annual receipts.
