Description
RECOVERY- This solicitation is for plantation thinning, pullback, and piling work to be performed within the boundaries of the Malheur National Forest on U.S. Forest lands, and will appear under up-coming solicitation AG-0489-S-10-0322 (Idaho Creek Plantation Thinning), which is funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). Inclusion of unique provisions is required for implementing the Act including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s) will be required in any resultant contract. The Awardee(s) will be subject to Section 1512(c) of the Recovery Act which requires each contractor to report on its use of Recovery Act funds under the awarded contract. These reports will be made available to the public. Additional information on these requirements can be obtained from the solicitation when issued. The Contractor(s) selected in the contract award shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, transportation, supplies, and incidentals required to accomplish the work (unless specified differently in the solicitation, as Government-Furnished-Property). The project number is WFM-0604-03Hf. The work area is located at the Malheur National Forest唯lue Mountain Ranger District; John Day, Oregon. The project consists of 1928 acres of thinning and hand piling. Vicinity and project maps showing project location and access will be located in the solicitation attachments. The NAICS code for this project is 115310, with a size standard of $17.5 (note 17) Million, for Fuel Management Services. The full detailed solicitation will be posted electronically at FedBizOpps website https://www.fbo.gov. The estimated issue/posting date of the solicitation will be April 22, 2010. At the time specified in the solicitation offerors may submit their proposals in response to the solicitation. Note that all offers meeting the requirements specified in the solicitation will be considered. Offers will be due on or around May 20, 2010 with a total award time of approximately 60 days from the date of this notice. This solicitation is set-aside 100% for HUBZone small business concerns. It is anticipated that multiple awards may be awarded as a result of this solicitation.
